Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a new course that was part of a global roll to train family support professionals to abide by industry standards regarding confidentiality of clients' personal and medical information.
Such a serious topic need not be dour in approach; rather, a learner-centric method was employed to assist the learner to build a bridge of trust with clients through confidentiality.
Knowledge was presented in an engaging and pleasant way to build a relationship with the learner and support their process of achieving the learning objectives through realistic and nuanced scenarios, self assessed rating scales, and text entry reflections.
Graphics were used to recreate situations experienced by the learner as they interact with clients and co-workers to apply the knowledge and skills presented.
The goal was to push the learner up Bloom's taxonomy to the top half of the pyramid to apply and synthesize what they learn at the bottom half of the pyramid, e.g. recall.
